Final Days… Seattle to Home

I hope you have enjoyed traveling along with us and thanks to all the MANY folks that helped us along the way.  We could not have done it without you. Some folks were just exceptionally nice and we really appreciate it.

Last Days…..Skagway to Seattle to ?…

Howdy All,

As our trip winds down, I think we are all ready to get home. Getting up everyday and packing up to hit the road on a regular basis, gets tiring.

We have now traveled from Skagway, via the Motor Vessel “Columbia,” which is part of the Alaska Marine Highway System to Bellingham. The “highway” is owned and operated by the State of Alaska. They do a great job!

Day 27, 28 & 29…..Skagway, Alaska

HOWDY!!!

We are in Skagway, AK and it is a definite destination. Beautiful scenery and people. This is a must see on your bucket list. We leave on the ferry and head for Bellingham and Continental Airlines to home. After a month on the road………I’m ready to go home!!

Day 25 & 26…to Haines, AK then Whitehorse, YT

Howdy…

Thursday morning we departed for the city of Haines, AK. The 147 mile ride through 30 minutes of rain and at 45 degrees was great. We found the town quaint. We had lunch at the harbor, where we waited 45 minutes for a ham and turkey club. It was great when we got it! But, good grief, 45 minutes for a sandwich?
